FAQs
Where should I fly into?
Guests should book flights to Cancún International Airport (CUN), which is the largest and most convenient airport for Riviera Maya. From the airport, the Belmond Maroma is about a 35-minute drive south. Direct flights are available from most major cities.
Do I need a visa?
U.S., Canadian, and European citizens do not need a visa for short-term tourism but must bring a valid passport (minimum six months from arrival date).
When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving on Thursday, October 29th, when the Belmond Maroma room block begins. While official events start Friday, October 30th, allowing buffer (and having extra time to enjoy the beach) is advised. Gusts arriving on Friday should expect to be lodged at the Edition Kanai.
When should I depart?
The wedding ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 31st, 2026. You are welcome to extend your stay beyond Sunday, but official wedding events conclude after Saturday night.
Where should I stay?
We have room blocks at the Belmond Maroma and the Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai, where we will be facilitating accomodations. Please see the Accomodations tab for details.
Will transportation be provided from the airport?
We will offer free group shuttle options between Cancun Internationl Airport and the designated hotels for both arrival and departure. Details and sign-up information will be sent as we get closer to the wedding.
Private airport transfer options ar also available to be booked directly through the hotels at extra cost. Taxis are also available, though we do not recommend this alternative as it may be challenging to schedule reliably in advance.
Will transportation be provided to and from the events if I am not staying at the Belmond?
Yes! Shuttle transportation will be provided for all official events through the weekend. If you are staying at the Edition, you’ll receive detailed instructions and pickup times to ensure easy access to every celebration. Private taxis are also available if preferred, but will incur an addition expense and will require ahead of time booking. Our suggestion is to use the provided transportation.
Are children invited?
Regrettably, this is an adults-only celebration and children are not invited.
Do I get a plus one?
Plus ones are only included if clearly indicated on your invitation. If clarification is needed, please contact us directly.
Can I drink the tap water?
Both resorts have some of the best filtration systems. At the Edition and the Belmond, tap water is fine to drink. However, bottled water will be available all weekend at your disposal.
